The Department of Media Systems and Technologies (MST) is a part of the Faculty of Computer Sciences (CS). The training of Bachelors at the Department is conducted by the Speciality 186 «Publishing and Printing». Master's training is conducted by three Specializations – «Computer Technologies and Systems of Publishing and Printing Production», «Technologies of Printing Editions» and «Technologies of Electronic Multimedia Editions».
SPECIALITY 186 «PUBLISHING AND PRINTING»

Educational program: Publishing and Printing.
Brief description of the Speciality:
- Design, development of a design and prototypes of printing and electronic editions by means of computer publishing systems;
- Development of production techniques of the printing products (books, newspapers, magazines, promotional products, labels, packaging) and electronic editions (e-books, directories, presentations);
- Modelling of three-dimensional scenes, animation, processing of audio-and-video information;
- Creation of advertising complexes for the publication on television and in the Internet, interactive multimedia software applications on digital mediums and mobile devices;
- Design and development of web systems, multimedia information products, applications interfaces (UI/UX).

Graduates of the Department are specialists in the field of publishing and printing business. They carry out the development of manufacturing techniques of books, newspapers, promotional label products, projects and develop prototypes of editions, organize production, control ensuring of the production with publishing and printing materials, check the sequence of a technological process and quality of finished goods. They also know the technologies of publishing and printing production, methods of finishing and protection against fakes, the typesetting, plate making, printing, bookbinding and finishing equipment.

GRADUATES of SPECIALIZATION of TEME are specialists in the field of design and development of Web applications (the websites, portals), with use of HTML, JavaScript, PHP; with use of processing of audio- and video information, three-dimensional modeling, animation during the creation of multimedia information products. They know the basic principles of the design-oriented to the user in combination with modern styles of a design of the elements, which are carrying out the development of interfaces for users of UI/UX, consider requirements of usability, a context of work with a system to design the convenient interface.
